What Is A Riverside House Concert?
A Riverside house concert is a private, invite-only performance hosted in a personal setting and tailored by the host for a guest count ranging from 10 to 100 people. Guests are drawn from the host’s own circle of friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, and invited listeners, with no additional guests brought by the band in order to preserve the intimacy of the experience.
What Does Hosting A House Concert Look Like?
House concerts may take place indoors or outdoors, though indoor spaces are often recommended for better acoustics and as a reliable weather backup. Hosts may also choose to co-host with a friend and can schedule performances at flexible times of day to best suit their audience.
How Do House Concerts Fit Into the Tour?
The Riverside tours nationwide across the United States each year, with their touring season running from May through November. House concerts are strategically woven into existing tour routes, with dates coordinated early in the tour-planning process alongside hosts.
How Are House Concerts Funded?
House concert fees operate on a sliding scale, allowing hosts to either cover the fee directly or offset it through ticket sales and guest donations. This structure ensures travel expenses and musician compensation are met, while host support helps sustain the tour and create a meaningful, memorable experience for everyone involved.
